The below effect is an example of how a regular looking photograph could be made exciting with a little imagination and a lot of blending options in Photoshop. Basic knowledge of blending is required to attempt such effects. experiment around as much as you can with blending to attain the required results. Color dodge, Overlay, Screen and Multiply are my favorites and are mostly used. That doesnt mean you cannot experiment with the other blends. Try it...
